Homemade Cleaning Products for Laminate Floors

How to Safely and Effectively Clean Your Flooring

Laminate flooring is a popular choice for many homeowners because it is affordable and durable. However, it is important to clean this type of flooring properly in order to protect its finish and keep it looking new. We will discuss how to make homemade cleaning products that are safe and effective for cleaning laminate floors.

The first thing you will need is a mild soap. You can use dish soap, laundry detergent, or even baby shampoo. Just make sure that the soap you choose is not too harsh or abrasive. Next, you will need some distilled water. You can find this at most grocery stores. Finally, you will need white vinegar.

To make your cleaning solution, mix together equal parts mild soap, distilled water, and white vinegar. For example, if you are using a cup of each ingredient, you would mix together one cup of mild soap, one cup of distilled water, and one cup of white vinegar. Once your ingredients are mixed together, put them into a spray bottle and shake it up to make sure everything is combined.

Now that you have your cleaning solution, it is time to start cleaning! Begin by vacuuming your laminate floor to remove any dirt or debris. Next, spray your cleaning solution onto the floor and use a microfiber mop to scrub the floor in a circular motion. Make sure that you get into all of the corners and crevices. Once you have finished scrubbing, allow the solution to sit on the floor for a few minutes before wiping it up with a clean cloth.

You should now have clean and shiny laminate floors! If you have any stubborn stains, you may need to repeat the process or try using a stronger cleaner such as rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
